Okay , in the next series of posts we are going to learn a jazz solo by the great Wes Montgomery!
Ok here are some basics in getting into playing music. The first thing to do when learning an instrument is listening to music! How easy is that! Ok so what music should i listen to? You should listen to music you are interested in. For example i want to play like buddy guy, so i will get one of his albums and start listening. This might seem obvious to some but in reality even really good instrument players fail to do this. This approach comes from thinking about music as a language. How do we first learn a language - we listen and imitate!
